NH Broodmare Gemini Lucy sold for £100,000
Our Lincoln Handicap Sales is held in mid March and catalogues Flat & National Hunt Horses-in-Training, All Weather Horses and Two-Year-Olds in Training. This has provided a good outlet for trainers to pass on horses that have been active on the All Weather circuit throughout the winter months and has been targeted by many owners in recent years who have sold high class horses with a Grand National entry. Held less than a month before the big race, horses with a Grand National entry are particularly appealing to owners hoping to succeed in 'The Worlds Greatest Steeplechase'.
Europe's Leading Breeze-Up for Winners is held at the beginning of April and is a regular source of more two year old winners than any other sale. The spectacular victory of SPECIOSA in the 2006 Group 1 Stan James 1000 Guineas at Newmarket meant that she became Europe's first Classic Breezer and gives the sale the prestige of being Europe's Classic Breeze-Up Sale. This is particularly fitting as PENKENNA PRINCESS went down by a short head in the 2005 Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas, the same year that KINNAIRD won the Group 1 Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp and has been followed up by the multiple Group 1 winning PACO BOY. These are a few examples of the ready to run, ready to win two year olds that are catalogued for this sale
