DBS Managing Director, Henry Beeby said after the launch of the catalogue:
'We have made no secret of the fact that the National Hunt Store trade in Britain has been patchy over recent years, but our inspection team has stuck by some strict guidelines this year in order to put together a top class catalogue that contains everything from early Bumper horses to the later maturing three mile Chasers. We are delighted that Vendors have worked with us and helped to compile one of the best Store catalogues that we have seen in recent years and we are confident that their loyalty will be rewarded.
The format of the Sale has changed to allow potential purchasers to sell their Horses-in-Training before reinvesting in Stores and we are confident that the quality of the catalogue and the past performances of the Sale graduates will ensure that buyers return to Doncaster the following week.
The 2007/2008 National Hunt season has been a fantastic period for this Sale and we have proved that we can achieve an optimum price for National Hunt Stores when we are sent the right horses. All the ingredients are in place for a successful Sale and we look forward to holding The World's Premier National Hunt Sales in Doncaster, under its new format, over the last two weeks of May'
