Grade 2 Success For Spring HIT Sales At Haydock

DBS Spring HIT graduate Cinders And Ashes landed the Grade 2 Supreme Trial Novices' Hurdle at Haydock this afternoon for Donald McCain who purchased the five year old for just £4,500 at the sales.

Sent off odds-on favourite,  Cinders And Ashes jumped impressively under Jason Maguire despite the heavy conditions and won well by 2 1/2 lengths.   Fifth in last year's Champion Bumper, a return to Cheltenham is on the cards for which he was been quoted at 12/1 for the Supreme Novices Hurdle. Cinders And Ashes was consigned by Juddmonte Farms at the 2009 DBS Spring HIT Sales.  The next DBS sale is the January Sales this Tuesday 24 January featuring a quality selection of flat and national hunt horses in training and breeding stock.
