DBS and Newbury Racecourse – A Grade 1 winning Combination


Boston Bob helped to showcase a hugely successful relationship between Newbury Racecourse and DBS when winning his first Grade 1 on just his second start over hurdles with victory in the Grade 1 Navan Novice Hurdle. The six year old son of Bob Back is trained by Willie Mullins for Andrea and Graham Wylie and won a Point to Point at tallow before being sold by Mr Martin Donovan from Boston Stables to Bobby O’Ryan for £150,000 at the DBS Festivals Sales at Newbury Racecourse in March 2011. Boston Bob is now a general went 12-1 chance for the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle and 16-1 for the Grade 1 Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle.


  • Estidhkaar Keeps DBS 2YOs on Top

    Estidhkaar became the second Group 2 winning two-year-old for DBS and Richard Hannon in two days when winning the coveted Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster today The Dark Angel half-brother to Toormore made a successful return to the track after winning the Group 2 Superlative Stakes in early July. He joins yesterday's Group 2 winner Beacon and the £300,000 Weatherbys 2YO Stakes winner Bond's Girl as headline two-year-old winners for DBS at the St Leger Festival.  Raced by Shadwell Stud, Estidhkaar was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle, who have had a terrific season with DBS two-year-olds, from Redpender Stud at the 2013 DBS Premier Sales for £200,000.
