Bobs Worth enhances DBS/Newbury partnership
Bobs Worth kept his unbeaten record over obstacles intact when he collared the front-running Cue Card in the final stride of the Grade 2 Fuller's London Pride Novices' Chase at Newbury Racecourse. The son of Bob Back was having his first start since winning the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival last year and after the race trainer Nicky Henderson, who was winning this for the third time in four years, said a clash with Grand Crus in the Grade 1 Feltham Chase at Ke
"He will come on a lot and learn a lot," Henderson said. "Barry said even over the wings of the last he was always going to get there. The Feltham has got to be on the agenda now and if we run into Grand Crus then so be it but he is not a certainty to go there. I was in no rush to start at three miles but we're heading that way."
Bobs Worth was cut to as short as 6-1 for the Grade 1 RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival and the six year old was by Barry Geraghty from Gaulstown Farm to Highflyer Bloodstock/Nicky Henderson for £20,000 at the DBS Spring Store Sales 2009.
